Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
How comfy are they?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also go with everything.

What’s the cost?
When I grabbed my pair in April, I paid just under $390, but their full price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.
How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
